MECHANICSBURG, PA (News Release) — West Shore Home has gifted two brand new, modern showers to a deserving veteran family through Military Makeover with Montel airing on Lifetime Network.
West Shore Home is dedicated to giving back to veterans across the country through outreach programs and veteran hiring and training.
Through Military Makeover with Montel, Joey and Joy Pryor of Charlotte, N.C. received an entire home makeover, with West Shore Home focusing on the bathrooms. The company replaced their old tubs with new, modern walk-in showers to fit their active lifestyle.
Joey is a U.S. Army veteran who was seriously injured during his third tour in Afghanistan. He is a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal recipient. Joy is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served at stations around the country. Both struggle with PTSD and physical injuries and were looking for a safer bath solution.
“We both have knee conditions, so not having to hurdle over the side of a tub and being able to easily walk in and take a shower, it’s changed our life,” said Joy Pryor. “I have also back issues, so not having the crouch down and clean a tub, it’s changed everything. It’s so easy to clean and I love how modern it looks.”
“It has been a privilege to participate in Military Makeover with Montel. The Pryor family served their country with honor,” said B.J. Werzyn, President, CEO and Founder, West Shore Home. “All of us at West Shore Home were more than thrilled to provide them with two updated showers. It is the least we could do to thank them for their service.”
“The entire makeover has made a really big impact on us including all the volunteers who came together,” said Joey Pryor. “We’ve always had dreams of starting our own private organization to help out veterans. Seeing this come together and those who made it happen makes us want to do it that much more.”
West Shore Home specializes in window, door, and bath remodeling and replacement, with most projects completed in just one day. Founded in 2006, it operates in 12 states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
Military Makeover with Montel premieres on Nov. 12 with the episode featuring West Shore Home airing Nov. 26.
