Warm & Dry Weekend, Cooler & Wetter Workweek Ahead

[ad_1]

Above-average temperatures this weekend give way to more seasonable conditions next week.

Happy Friday! Temperatures have topped out on the cooler side this first day of October, thanks to winds out of the north and east to go along with increased cloud coverage. While the grayer skies may look threatening, rain chances remain low through the weekend. Expect clearer conditions for our Saturday as high pressure resumes its dominance over the Mid-Atlantic. The increased sunshine combined with winds out of the southwest will bring more summer-like conditions this weekend, as highs top out in the 70s and 80s across the board.

The beautiful weather has been nice, but all good things must come to an end. An expansive rainmaking system will sweep in from the west by Monday night, bringing widespread rain chances through the first half of the week. Of course, the arriving cold front will also bring cooler temperatures. While the 80s are possible through Wednesday, much of the week ahead should remain in the 60s and 70s.
