Finally, getting some much-needed rain across Piedmont. Steady showers for the morning commute, with a few pockets of heavier rain. Rain for the most part is south of I-40 and will clear by mid-morning. Temps will remain cool through the end of the week with highs reaching the low 50s. Another disturbance will bring a widespread shot of scattered showers Friday afternoon. Temps will warm this weekend into the low 70s with on and off showers through early Sunday.We’re in to get about an inch of rain with the weekend showers which will help put a dent in the drought but won’t completely eliminate it. We’ll be drying out by Sunday midday with temps falling back in the 50s.
