Seasonable Settings Stick Around

Lows in the 30s and 40s have been hard to come by so far this fall, but we’ll have an embarrassment of riches this week. With the passage of a cold front Saturday afternoon, the fall feels will make themselves at home in the Carolinas for a while. As lows dip down near freezing in the High Country, frost may be an issue for the next several nights in our elevated communities. Remember to bring pets and plants indoors.

After starting in the 50s and 60s, highs will slowly climb back to near-normal values in the 60s and 70s by midweek. Lows will remain on the chilly side for much of the week ahead. Rain chances also will hover in the slim-to-none range through the workweek. Our next shot of moisture arrives next weekend, as a separate rainmaking system arrives.

Tonight: Clear and chilly. Low: 44°. Wind: NW 5-15.

Sunday Night: Another chilly night. Low: 42°. Wind: NW 5-10.
