NEWTON, N.C. –Officers are investigating after finding a missing man and woman shot to death inside of a newspaper business in Newton Friday night.
Officers with both the Newton Police Department and the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office were attempting to locate two missing persons on Friday, when they got a lead that led them to a parking lot on North College Avenue.
At the parking lot, officers located both of the missing persons vehicles.
After further investigation, the officers found the two missing persons Cindy Hull, 55, and Larry Brigham, 58, with apparent gunshot wounds dead inside the Observer News Enterprise.
Police say the two Newton residents had been in a relationship prior to this incident.
“This is a tragic situation and our prayers are with the Hull and Brigham families. We also want the public to know that this appears to be an isolated incident and there are no remaining threats to the community.” said Chief Vidal Sipe.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
