It’s a crisp fall start with temps in the 40s and 50s. Clear skies will keep the sun shining brightly today with temps reaching the low 60s in the mountains to the mid-70s through the Piedmont. The weekend will be picture perfect with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Rain will not be a problem over the next week for us! Dry through next week. Temps will climb back into the mid-80s, but humidity levels will remain low. A cold front will keep the warm-up brief. Temps will fall back to the upper 70s by Thursday.
Hurricane Sam will continue to intensify in the Atlantic becoming a major hurricane this weekend. It will be near the Northern Leeward Islands by mid-week, before cutting north. It will be something to watch, but as of now does not look like a threat for the Carolinas.
