CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The newly completed adaptive reuse project in west Charlotte, Lower Tuck, announced its first tenants on Wednesday.
These tenants are expected to move in by Spring of 2022 and take over 34,000 square feet of first generation office space.
Officials say the lead tenant taking over 27,000 square feet of the new space is Positec, a global manufacturing company that specializes in the production of power tools, lawn and garden equipment, and accessories under several brands including Work and Rockwell.
This new space will help Positec expand their Charlotte-based North American headquarters.
“We are really looking forward to making the Lower Tuck development our new home. We feel the space will foster a creative energy in our business—not to mention providing employees with an attractive environment to spend the work day and lots of nearby dining and activity options,” said Chris Allen, President, CEO, Positec Tool Corporation.
Officials say two other office tenants have signed leases including:
- Interior Elements, an innovative, progressive, and dynamic organization that provides a design-based and consultative approach to the contract interiors marketplace, will utilize 5,000 square feet.
- Mason Interactive, a NYC-based performance-driven digital marketing agency, will take a 2,300 square foot space
Officials say Lower Tuck has also recently expanded its real estate footprint from four to seven buildings in the neighborhood, which will allow for more community and placemaking opportunities.
“It’s very exciting to see these companies invest in this community alongside our efforts. We look forward to supporting their great work and the dynamic relationships that they create around them at Lower Tuck,” said Caleb Brenneman from Third & Urban.
