Near-record highs in the forecast today. Temps will be soaring into the upper 80s this afternoon. Today’s record high of 87 was set back in 1940. Highs will soar well above average temps will be in the forecast tomorrow with temps back in the upper 80s. A strong cold front will bring scattered showers to the mountains early Saturday. Rain chances will push into the I-77 corridor by the early afternoon. Much colder temps will follow this front with lows dropping into the 30s and 40s Sunday morning. Highs will struggle to get out of the 60s Friday. Cool and dry next week with daytime highs in the low 70s and overnight lows in the mid-40s.
