CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are investigating a fatal crash in northeast Charlotte that left three people seriously injured and one man dead on Saturday.
Officers responded to the crash on Grier Road shortly after 1:58 p.m. to find both a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2006 Ford Econoline Wagon with heavy front-end damage lying in the roadway.
Police say the driver of the Chevrolet, Pablo Dominguez, and his two juvenile passengers were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries following the collision.
The driver of the Ford, 29-year-old Albert Bradford Jr., died at the scene, according to a news release.
Detectives say initial investigation reveals that Bradford was heading west on Grier Road when he ran off to the right of the road, overcorrected, and crossed into oncoming traffic striking the front of the Chevrolet.
Police say Bradford was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Inattentiveness and failure to us a seatbelt by the driver of the Ford are contributing factors to this crash, according to a news release.
The investigation into this collision is active and ongoing.
