AM Headlines:
- Coldest Start Since Early Spring
- Cool and Sunny Day
- Warming Up for Thanksgiving
- Isolated Rain Chances this Weekend
Discussion:
It is a freezing start with temps in the 20s areawide. We aren’t dealing with the wind as much this morning, but clear skies mean temps will drop into the low to mid-30s before daybreak. Highs today will reach the low to mid-50s – still well below average. But, it will remain sunny and dry for one of the busiest travel days of the year. Thanksgiving day will be warmer with highs in the low 60s. A cold front will bring an isolated shot at showers overnight, but not much of an accumulation is expected. Dry and cool this weekend with highs in the mid-50s through Saturday. Another brief warm-up to seasonable highs Sunday afternoon ahead of another cold front from the west. This time, an accumulation of snow is looking more likely for the mountains with 1-2″ of snow possible for regions above 3500′ Sunday night into Monday morning. Temps will remain cool through next week with highs in the 50s and overnight lows in the low 30s.
