CMPD: Missing Charlotte Woman Found Murdered, Boyfriend Charged

Detectives have charged the boyfriend of 21-year-old Denee Rawls with Murder after finding the missing Charlotte woman dead early Tuesday morning.

Police say following an interview with detectives, Nicholas Davis, 21, was taken into custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and charged with 1st Degree Murder for his involvement in Rawls’ death.

Detectives say while searching for the missing woman on November 29th, the investigation led them to a home on Harrisburg Road, where they found Rawls’ body.

Detectives quickly identified the victim’s boyfriend, Nicholas Davis, as a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding missing 21-year-old Denee Rawls.

Authorities say Rawls left her home near Robur Court in Charlotte voluntarily on November 22nd.

Her family says she has not yet returned home and they are concerned for her well-being.

Rawls is described as a Black woman, 5 feet 2 inches, 115 pounds, with black shoulder-length hair.

She was last seen wearing a black jacket with beige leggings.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
