CHARLOTTE, NC – Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles put out a Thanksgiving video announcing her bid for a third term in office.
Lyles is the first black woman to be mayor. She won her 2019 re-election bid with a commanding 77% of the vote.
The 2022 election will be for a one year term. The 2021 election cycle was put on hold due to a delay in the census information.
