MIAMI, F.L. — The Charlotte 49ers needed to score in bunches to make school history Friday night in Miami. Charlotte defeated FIU 45-33 to secure their first win over the Panthers in program history, previously the 49ers were 0-5.
With the win Charlotte improves to 4-2 to start the season which is the best start in FBS school history. The 49ers are now 2-0 in C-USA. They have a bye next week and will host FAU on Thursday 10/21.
